Lynn works with children struggling with ADHD, anger, anxiety, and phase of life issues. He particularly enjoys working with teens who are dealing with anxiety or depression. Lynn understands that children and teens face many problems as they are growing up, and he believes in the importance of providing a supportive environment so that all children can grow up to become the person they want to be.
He believes that an important part of all child and teen therapy is family therapy and feels that in order for real change to happen, parents have to be included in the process. Lynn provides family therapy for his clients so that families can heal together, change together, and grow together. He helps families get from where they are to where they want to be.
Lynn regularly practices from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy perspective, helping his clients to see how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact with and influence each other. He helps his clients see that changing what we think and how we behave, may have a positive impact on how we feel.
Lynn also utilizes elements of Rogerian Person-Centered Therapy to build the relationship between client and therapist. And he uses elements of Reality/Choice Therapy to empower his clients.
He enjoys sports, movies, and music.
Lynn has afternoon and evening availability in our Cape Girardeau location.
